BROOKVILLE – The Lady Lion track team finished fifth in the EIAC track meet at Franklin County.

East Central won the team title with 154 points. Franklin County was second with 95 followed by Batesville 92.5, Greensburg 84, Rushville 70, Connersville 58, South Dearborn 40.5 and Lawrenceburg 30.

For the field events, Charity Griffith took first in the high jump clearing a height 5-2. Griffith jumped a distance of 15-4 taking third for the night as well as Tellas jumped lengths of 13-1. Annie Hadley cleared a personal best height of 7-0 in pole vault.

Isabella Runnebohm threw a shot put a distance of 31-4 taking fifth, and Kuhn threw a distance of 28-0. For the discus, Runnebohm places fifth throwing a 98-2 and Geise threw 79-6.

The 4x100 relay team of Heather Stanley, Lexi Morris, Ale Romero, and Cassidy Tellas finished with a time of 52.59. The 4x400 relay team of Shannon Dougherty, Maddi Turner, Josie Wagner, and Lilly Krodel took fifth in 4:22. The 4x800 team of Yeend, Adkins, Dougherty, S.Stanley came in sixth with a time of 11:20.

In the 400, Josie Wagner and Charity Griffith ran times of 1:12 and 1:01 taking 11th and second. In the 3200, Natalia Meza took eighth for the night with a time of 13:09. In the 1600, Shook and Meza ran distances of 6:54 and 6:08 taking 15th and 11th for the night. In the 800, Dougherty took fourth running a time of 2:32. In the 300 hurdles, Turner and Krodel took second and fourth with times of 47.19 and 50.05. In the 100 hurdles, Turner and Krodel took third and seventh with times of 16.10 and 17.82.

The Lady Lions travel to Connersville for the sectional today.
