In EIAC softball action Friday, the Lady Lions fell to visiting East Central 14-6.

Kara Chandler took the loss in the circle for the Lady Lions, allowing 14 runs on 15 hits with four strikeouts. Chandler also led the Lady Lions offensive attack going 3-for-4 in the contest. Jama Barnes went 2-for-4 with 2 RBIs, and Abby Herbert also went 2-for-4.

On Saturday, the Lady Lions dropped a doubleheader to EIAC foe South Dearborn.

In the opening game, South Dearborn posted an 8-2 victory.

Barnes went 2-for-3, the only Lady Lion to tally more than one hit. Kendra Hamilton hit her seventh home run of the season and Olivia Vance hit her third. Olivia Mohler took the loss in the circle allowing eight runs on 12 hits while striking out two.

In a back-and-forth second game, the Lady Knights scored in the bottom of the seventh to post a 6-5 victory.

Chandler took the loss in the circle for Rushville.

Barnes went 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI.

Rushville 10, Waldron 0

WALDRON - Lady Lions softball team traveled to Waldron and came home with a 10-0 victory. Olivia Mohler threw the no-hit shut out with five strikeouts. Kara Chandler led the offensive attack with a 3-for-3 performance. Betsy Muir followed with 2-for-3 at the plate and 3 RBIs. Hendra Hamilton was 2-for-3 with a triple. Abby Herbert also went 2-for-3.

Connersville 11, Rushville 1

In the final EIAC contest for the Lady Lions, visiting Connersville knocked off Rushville 11-1 Wednesday on the Lady Lions Senior Night.
