The local TQ midget racing season kicks off Saturday with the Gray Auto 30, a 30-lap feature event at the Rush County Fairgrounds track.
Racing will begin at 7 p.m. with a $1,000 purse at stake for the feature event winner. TQ racing has been a staple locally for many years and this year will be no exception with a number of races scheduled.
Admission at the door is $10 for adults and $5 for race fans 12 and younger.
Following Saturday’s event, TQ will return to the Rushville track during this years’ running of the Rush County Fair later this month, at which time local racing favorite and three time NASCAR champion Tony Stewart is expected to make a return.
