Thank you

Dear Editor,

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to publicly thank the amazing people in this community. Never in my life have I had less, yet felt so blessed. You know when something like this happens the first thing you think is “what am I going to do now” and “life is about to get real hard.” While I’m standing there in my nightgown and robe and soaking wet shoes, watching everything I own get destroyed, there was an immediate response from my neighbors the Andrews, the Cartrells and Mary Anne Cain. The first thing Jessica Cartrell said to me was “what can I do to help?” By the time she gets back from getting me clothes to wear and essentials I needed, she had already had a GoFundMe page set up for my family and her husband Marcus had started a donation account at Flagstar Bank. If there is one thing we all know it is that peace of mind is one of the most precious things that we as human beings can ever have. The people of this community have given us just that. I know without a doubt that my family and I will be more than okay and that would never be possible without all of you! Thank you to every single one of you who gave whatever you could. We are forever grateful. A simple thank you is not enough therefore we cannot wait for the opportunity to pay it forward.

Love, the Bone family
