Shortly after 3 a.m. Monday the CVS Drug Store located at 1556 North Main Street in Rushville was burglarized.

According to Rushville Assistant Chief of Police, Tim Williams, the thief or thieves broke into the establishment and made off with several narcotics and controlled substances.

What concerned local law enforcement officers is that the theft occurred within a span of two minutes.

“The suspects were able to get away before officers arrived at the scene, which was within two minutes of the call,” Williams said.

The RPD’s K9 unit Mundy and his handler officer Brandon Reynolds were called to the scene and were unable to locate the individuals responsible.
