The Rush County Economic and Community Development Corporation (ECDC) announced that Abigail “Abi” Roszell has joined their team as the Workforce Development and Client Services Manager.

Roszell graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School in 2015 and is a recent graduate of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in English. Though this position marks the first of her post-college professional career, Roszell brings with her valuable experience in conducting interviews, writing press releases, and managing social media accounts from her time as an intern for the Rush County Community Foundation.

The Workforce Development and Client Services Manager position will have a special emphasis on project management and workforce development activities, and Roszell stated that she is looking forward to building relationships and working with members of the community as she adjusts to her new role.

She is also happy to be back in Rushville and working for the benefit of her hometown after graduating college.

“When I first started college, I didn’t think that I would be returning to Rushville to start my career,” Roszell said. “However, after four years and some perspective changes, I couldn’t be happier to be back and serving the community that helped support me through my education.”

“We are very pleased to welcome Abi to the ECDC,” Executive Director of the Rush County ECDC John McCane said. “Her experience with RCCF has proven that she has a passion and a talent for making an impact in the community. Her personality and solid work ethic will come in handy has she takes the lead in our Workforce Development efforts. I am confident that she will be a positive asset to our team.”
