RMH certified phlebotomists

Rush Memorial Hospital phlebotomists and two patient care technicians spent a total of 12 hours over a 4-week period to review for their Certified Phlebotomy Technician certificate (CPT) through the National Health career Association (NHA) sessions. Taught by RMH Laboratory Director, Amanda Scheiderer, they went over phlebotomy techniques and collections at the Ivy Tech Center at the Rushville City Center. After the review sessions, all six individuals took their exam, passed and earned their certificate. The Rush Memorial Hospital lab is now completely staffed with certified phlebotomists. This was made possible through an ELITE Grant which allowed the opportunity to gain skills and certification possible for their position. Pictured are Tonya White, Sara Senour and Cheryl Laughlin
