The RCHS Band Booster club is offering sponsorship opportunities to those interested in supporting the RCHS band and guard.
“Small contributions can mean something way larger to students that benefit,” RCHS Band Booster supporter Jennifer Warner said. “Our goal right now is to reach $10,000.”
The RCHS Band Booster club started in July of 2019. The boosters have reached $6,700 in donations which has enabled them to buy a new trailer for the band program and percussion equipment.
“As the band directors give us items that are needed for the band, we are trying to fill those with donations from the sponsorship program,” Warner said. “In turn, we are trying to publicly recognize those sponsors the best we can.”
The booster club is offering various sponsorship levels so everyone has a chance to support the RCHS band and guard programs. Sponsorship forms may be obtained by emailing email@example.com.
All sponsors will be acknowledged on written concert programs corresponding with sponsorship.
The sponsorship program includes:
• Eighth Note Sponsors – $10 – $99
• Quarter Note Sponsors – $100 – $999
• Whole Note Sponsors – $1,000 – $2,499
• Black and Red Sponsors – $2,500 and up
• Fermata (Sustaining) Sponsors – Three year commitment at Half, Whole or Black and Red level, donor’s name will be added to the band trailer at the next labeling change (A fermata is a musical symbol which means to “sustain the note”)
Warner said the band program at Benjamin Rush Middle School is growing as 56 7th graders are enrolled in band classes.
“The needs will keep growing as the band program is growing,” Warner said. “So we are excited about that.”
The RCHS Band Booster club will host its Tenderloin Dinner fundraiser from 3:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 18 in the RCHS Cafeteria (1201 Lions Path).
