The Rushville Street Department will begin the annual process of trimming weeds, bushes and trees within the rights-of-way of city streets and alleys.

This is necessary to allow city trucks and equipment to easily and safely pass through the streets and alleys without damaging them or causing bodily harm to workers.

This work will begin within the next 30 days, weather permitting.

According to street superintendent Danny Bennett, city workers will trim back to the edge of the curb on city streets and within the right-of-way in the alleys.

Anyone wishing to have their trees professionally trimmed must do so before this work begins, and then notify the street department of the exact location and address of those trees.

Any questions may be directed to the Rushville Street Department at (765) 932-2575 during regular work hours.
