The Rush County Health Department recently announced the next children’s immunization health clinic will take place 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Feb. 6, in Room 105 in the courthouse.

The county health office is located on the lower level of the courthouse near the eastside entrance.

It is requested that a child’s record of previous immunizations be brought and updated. The immunizations are offered free of charge to individuals currently on Medicaid or those uninsured. Children less than the age of 18 are required to have a parent or guardian sign permission forms for each child receiving immunizations.

It is additionally important to note that as a result of Federal guidelines of a child is covered by insurance other than Medicaid; the insurance carrier must be contacted to see if the coverage covers vaccines. If that is the case, the child family doctor must be contacted and will administer the vaccine.

The RCHD can be contacted 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday at (765) 932-3103 regarding the approaching immunization clinic or other health the department related news.
