Executive Director of the Rush County Chamber of Commerce Sandy Fussner recently announced donations are currently being a accepted to provide the local annual fireworks show the evening of July 4.
Recently, Fussner said this year's event is shaping up to be one of the largest in recent years, although monies are still sought for the after sunset entertainment.
The fireworks committee set a multi-tier donation level, $500, $250 and the $100 Minutemen level.
For each of the three aforementioned donation levels, families will be entitled to:
- VIP seating
- VIP parking
- VIP Entry and exit to the grounds
- Special recognition in all advertising and promotions as well as a heartfelt thanks from a grateful community.
For a number of years, private funds and donations have been responsible to provide a local show, which will begin shortly after sunset July 4 near the RES School.
Donations can be made at a number of local locations: Beacon Credit Union, BMO Harris Bank, Citizens State Bank, TOPS, Tractor Supply Company, Tweedy Lumber, both local Pizza King locations as well as the Rush County Chamber office. For those in a position and able to make a donation to the fireworks fund, arrangements can also be made to pick up a donation by calling (765) 932–2880. For those in the downtown area, the chamber office located at 315 North Main Street.
