Colestock receives Sheriff's Association scholarship

For a number of years, graduating students and alumni of Rushville Consolidated High School have sought and obtained one of 40 financial aid scholarships offered through the Indiana Sheriff’s Association.

Recipients are required to be a Hoosier resident and a current member of the association or the dependent child or grandchild of a current member in the ISA, additionally they must be a full-time student enrolled in an Indiana college or university pursuing a degree in law enforcement. The $500 scholarships are presented to qualifying students and the monies can be used to help offset the cost of books or other education-related expenditures.

It was recently announced that Rush County resident and recent graduate to RCHS Grant Colestock received one of this years’ scholarships. Colestock a 2019 graduate of RCHS will be a freshman at IUPUI in the fall and is pursuing a Criminal Justice degree. Rush County Sheriff Allan Rice, recently presented Colestock with his scholarship.
