The Rush Count Board of Zoning Appeals met recently and awarded a special exception to Betty Thurston, 318 North Spencer Street, Rushville, for a residence in a commercial zone.

Michael and Patti Hedrick, 5924 South CR 700E, Glenwood, requested and received a special exception for a dwelling on less than 10 acres in an agriculture zone. The property is located in Section 33 of Noble Township.

A final special exception was granted to John Meek, 10316 South Base Road, who requested a special exception for a confined feeding operation in Section 29 of Anderson Township. Following discussion on this matter the board made an additional stipulation that the manure from this operation must be knifed in.

Pepper Kent, 9428 West Central, Avenue, Manilla, was granted a variance from normal setbacks of 10 feet to four feet on the north and south side for a dwelling in a residential zone.
