Monday, a number of civic and community minded church members were busy in the kitchen area of Main Street Christian Church. They were preparing Thanksgiving mealsb for nearly 600 families in the community.

Again this year, Rush County’s churches worked together to provide a Thanksgiving meal for those who are less fortunate. The annual event found workers, preparing dressing, packaging up rolls, cutting and packing deserts. The meal is made possible each year, not only by the county churches, but through the efforts of numerous individuals, organizations, community volunteers through generous donations from area businesses.

The meal includes turkey, dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes, a roll and pie.
