Ora V. Callahan, formerly of Rush County, was recently inducted into the Cumberland Honors Park at the request of the park’s advisory board and town council. He was instrumental in helping develop the Cumberland Area Chamber of Commerce in 1984. He served as a member, program chairman, director, chairman of the board, president and CEO until retiring in 1996. During those years the chamber grew to more than 200 members with numerous activities and functions.

The Honors Park was established in 1999 to recognize individuals who have given of themselves for the betterment of Cumberland. The honorees’ names are engraved on a large stone located in the park, south of U.S. 40.
