The Rush County Extension Homemakers will kick off their 2019-2020 year with a pitch-in dinner to be held at 6 p.m. June 17 at the Rushville Church of Christ located at 627 West 11th Street. Debbie Richardson, current county president, announced new officers for 2019-2021 will be installed at this meeting by the new state president Anne Moore. According to Richardson, “Anne Moore resides in Columbus and has graciously accepted our invitation to attend our meeting and install our new officers. We are also looking forward to hearing Anne’s plans for the next year as our state president.”

The new officers are Dr Suellen Reed, President; Diane Paris, Vice President; Alyson Webster, Secretary; Mary Delay, Treasurer; Debbie Richardson, Advisor/Past President; Diane Paris, Education; Alice Ann Leisure, Leadership; Kathy Wright and Jane Hallgarth, Volunteer Community Support; and Scott Evans, Membership.

The Extension Homemakers also sponsor the Nancy Bell Scholarship each year. At this kick-off, the group will hear from the 2018 recipient Jama Singleton, and the 2019 recipient Shannon Daugherty.

Current extension members, along with anyone interested in learning more about the Extension Homemakers, are invited to attend this important and fun evening to help support the new officers and honor the scholarship winners.
