On Oct. 4 the Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club held its weekly meeting at the Country Cooker. The meeting was opened by the new president, the honorable Tom Tully.

Fourteen members welcomed Brandi Roberts who presented a program on MOPS, Mothers of Preschoolers.

MOPS is national organization with chapters all across the country. The local chapter which formed this year uses the facilities of Center Christian Church for their base of operations. MOPS is a support group for mothers or grandmothers using a faith-based curriculum, speakers and small group settings to help maintain a positive perspective and balance. They meet from 8:45-11:00 a.m. the first and third Tuesday of each month. During their meetings their preschoolers are supervised by adults in groups according to age where they do a variety of activities. If you would like more information you may contact Brandi by calling Center Christian Church at 645-5348 and leaving a message.

Following the program the meeting was adjourned.
