Kevin Hoeing began his career working after school and summers for Carl McLaughlin of McLaughlin Bros. Wholesale Plumbing Supply. During his senior yea, Hoeing worked for the McLaughlins and was a student participant in the Rushville Consolidated High School senior work program. Upon the illness of his former employer, the opportunity was made available to purchase the business located at 235 West Second Street in Rushville.

In the years that followed, renovations and expansions were necessary to compete in the wholesale and retail plumbing supply business. Residential and business properties were obtained on the east side of the business for expansion, storage and parking.

In October 1981, a plumbing supply house in Greensburg was purchased. Eventually it became necessary to continue to add more and more plumbing, heating and electrical lines to the existing inventory at both locations. Also increased was the business of designing and selling complete kitchens and bathrooms. In 2004, additional property was obtained at 211 North Washington Street for the construction of a new storage warehouse.

Kevin and Pam Hoeing are grateful to their employees and patrons who have trusted them through the past 25 years. “Our people, community and friends have been the heartbeat of our success,” they said. “We will continue our commitment to offering the best quality products and prompt, courteous service at an affordable price. Sincere thanks to all who have been a part of helping us reach our 25th year in business.”
