• National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, Indiana Chapter 0813, has a monthly meeting at 10 a.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Ponderosa Steakhouse, corner of North Lincoln St. and Fourth St., Greensburg. •Knights of Columbus will host an all you can eat chicken dinner open to the public Saturday, May 24 from 5-7:30 p.m. at 227 E 3rd Street. Cost will be $10 for adults and $6 for children. An additional $1 will be charged for a meal with all white meat. All you can eat meals are restricted to dine in only. Carry out will be available. • The 30th annual Mays Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 24, at the Mays Elementary School gym. Registration will begin at 4 p.m. with group pictures taken at 5:30 p.m. The meal will be at 6:30 p.m. All graduates, former teachers and friends are cordially invited to attend. • The Manilla Town & Country Homemakers Club will have a dinner meeting at the Cow Palace Restaurant in Shelbyville at 6 p.m. on May 28. Doris Drake will be the hostess and Kathy Wright will give devotions. Roll Call: Your favorite plant. Norene Wright will give a lesson on “Heirloom Plants.”
• The Noble Niters will have a meeting at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, at the home of Beth Barnes with Christie Singleton co-hosting. Lesson will be done on heirloom plants with Jane Hallgarth leading. Roll call will be, “Do you plant a garden?” which was inspired by Linda Naylor.
