Wedding: Petty-Crone

RUSHVILLE — Jessica Ann Petty and Loren Michael Crone were united in marriage at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 4, 2009, at Union Chapel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis with Reverend Stephen Rasmussen officiating. It was a private ceremony with their immediate families attending. They returned to Indianapolis for a marriage celebration with family and friends at 7:30 p.m., September 17, 2010, at Tabernacle Presbyterian Church with Reverend Michael Miller officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Linda Petty of Rushville, and the groom is the son of Barry and Saberina Crone of Indianapolis, and Mark and Wanda Mitchell of Frankfort. Grandparents attending were Robert and Carolyn Crone and Cleveland Harp. For the marriage celebration, piano music was provided by Mary Jane Truster, with Brittany Crone, sister of the groom, as vocalist.

The bride wore an ivory wedding gown of taffeta with a strapless neckline featuring gentle ruching to the empire waistline where rich embroidery was adorned with sparkling Swarovski crystals. Intricate lace edged the slim A-line skirt as Allure’s signature buttons accented the entire length of the train. She carried a bouquet of cream-colored roses and hydrangeas.

Wearing a black tea-length dress, the maid of honor was Noelle (Stock) Sykes. Bridesmaids were Megan (Ford) Muffler, Kari (Addison) Sisk, Laura (Gillam) Blosser, and Tracy Klemme, all friends of the bride. The flower girl was Megan Bell, Goddaughter of the bride.

Wearing a black tuxedo, the best man was Brandon Crone, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Heath Mitchell and Stephen Crone, brothers of the groom, and Carter Harris and Adam George, both friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Samuel Crone, brother of the groom.

Ushers were Jonathan Wickliff, cousin of the bride, and the now late Juan Guajardo, friend of the groom. The reader was Brittany Wickliff, cousin of the bride, and guest registrants were Kierstin and Rebekah Crone, both sisters of the groom.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted the night before the marriage celebration by the groom’s parents. Following the ceremony, a reception of dancing and desserts was held at the Primo South Banquet Hall in Indianapolis. The couple traveled to the Holy Lands for their wedding trip.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, a 2006 graduate of Butler University with an elementary degree, and a 2008 Northwestern University graduate with a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. She has been employed as a therapist with Bethany Christian Services and the Camp Pendleton Counseling Center. She is currently employed as a therapist for National Counseling Group.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of Pike High School, a 2005 Northwood University graduate with a business degree and a 2009 Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary graduate with a Master’s degree of Divinity. He is a Lieutenant in the United States Navy, and serves as a chaplain. He has completed two tours of duty in Afghanistan. They have lived in Southern California for three years, where Lt. Crone was stationed at Camp Pendleton. He is now stationed at Quantico, and they reside in Stafford, Va.
