Amy Nigh and Michael Haehl were united in marriage May 1, 2010. The wedding was held at 3:30 p.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church in Shelbyville with Father Paul Landwerlen officiating. The bride is the daughter of Kevin and Terri Nigh of Shelbyville. The groom is the son of Paul and Carolyn Haehl of Shelbyville. The maid of honor was Lori Nigh and matron of honor was Erin Macdonald, both sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Misty Tennell, Natalie Parker, and Abigail Waits; friends of the bride. The flower girl was Claire Waits. Keegan and Konnor Haehl, sons of the groom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Danny Marcum, Travis Schaf, and Brett Mahin, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Ryker Yonts, nephew of the groom. A reception followed the wedding in a historical barn at the home of the bride's parents. The couple’s wedding trip was to the Riviera Maya, Mexico. The bride graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2001. She attended Marian College and graduated with a nursing degree in 2005. She is an ER nurse at Major Hospital. The groom graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1994 and St. Francis paramedic school in 2000. He is a firefighter and paramedic for the Shelbyville Fire Department and a Realtor. Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Amy Haehl will reside in Shelbyville.
