wedding: Sowder-Staley

— Megan Sowder, daughter of Ronald and Nancy Sowder of Tipp City, Ohio, formerly of Rushville and Chris Staley, son of Timothy and Michele Staley of Tipp City, Ohio and Dwight and Linda Garber of Miamisburg, Ohio, were married at 2:30 p.m. July 7, 2007 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipp City, Ohio. Rev. Marc Sherlock officiated.
Maids of honor were the bride's sisters, Mary Kate Sowder and Sara Sowder. Bridesmaids were Erin LaPointe, Erika Thornbury, Natalie Denny and Jamie Elkins. Flower girl was Abby Hamilton, a cousin.
Best man was Mark Binder. Groomsmen were Drew Smith, Gordie McDermott, Rob Negrelli, Eric Dunn and Nate Keen.
The reception was at Piqua Country Club, Piqua, Ohio.
After a wedding trip to Atlantis Resort, Paradise Island, Bahamas, the couple resides in Washington, D.C.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Tippecanoe High School, Tipp City, Ohio and 2006 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a BA in Journalism and Political Science. She is employed as a reporter for Congressional Quarterly, Washington, D.C.
The groom is a 2002 graduate of Tippecanoe High School, Tipp City, Ohio and 2006 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio with a BA in Political Science. He is a second year law student at Catholic University, Washington, D.C.
