Brittany Nicole Griffin and Jason David Brown were united in marriage Oct. 20, 2007 at Indian Creek Christian Church in Franklin Township, Indianapolis. The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Pastor Rob Keaton.
The bride is the daughter of Jack and Nikki Griffin of Morristown. The groom is the son of David and Brenda Brown of Indianapolis.
Grandparents of the bride are Nick and Lois Getz of Rushville and the late Leonard and Betty Griffin of Rushville.
The ceremony included musical tributes performed by Kissa Dixon and Justin Greer, cousins of the bride’s mother. Jennifer Brown, cousin of the groom, gave a scripture reading.
Matron of honor was friend of the bride, Mariah Theobald of Shelbyville. Bridal attendants included Melissa Morgan of Shelbyville, Amy Stanton and Stephanie Barker of Lafayette, Emily Lugwig of Madison, Wisc., Stacia Getz and Anica Getz of Rushville, Jessica Bassett and Jennica Hatton of Morristown, and Katie Lawson of Indianapolis. Flower girls were friends of the bride, Leslie and Brooke Conover, along with Taryn Cook, cousin of the groom.
Justin Brown, groom's brother, served as best man. Groomsmen included friends of the groom, Ryan Brumback, Ryan Asher, and Jake Jones of Indianapolis. Cousins of the groom, Eric Smith, Cordy Brown and Jeff Brown of Indianapolis also served as groomsmen along with David Griffin of Morristown, bride’s brother. Jeremy Gray, friend of the groom and Scott Ramey, cousin of the groom, served as ushers. Ring bearer was Dayeton Garrity of Morristown, friend of the bride.
Courtney Ramey, cousin of the groom, and Nicole Killey, friend of the bride, served as attendants.
A reception to honor the couple followed at Primo South in Indianapolis .
The bride is employed at Major Hospital in Shelbyville. She is a 2001 Morristown High School graduate and earned a bachelor degree in nursing from Marion College in 2005.
The groom is employed at the Center for Hip and Knee Surgery in Mooresville. He is a 1998 Decatur Central High School graduate and obtained a bachelor of science degree in the Physicians Assistant program from Butler University in 2005.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia the couple resides in New Palestine.
