n Don’t forget to vote today!

n May meeting of American Legion Post 150 will be at 6:30 p.m. today at the VFW. Note time change due to the Primary Election. It would be helpful if the membership would show up for this meeting to help plan moving items from the building on Morgan Street. We also should be able to update you on any interest there has been in buying the building. Information should also be available on the new VA van that will be delivered to Rush County in May or early June.

WEDNESDAY (5/7)

n The Rush County Parent Support Group sponsored by The Rush County ARC will have a workshop at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Main Street Christian Church. Come find out what benefits your child may be entitled to receive. Due to the long waiting period, the sooner your child gets on the list for these waivers the better. Emergency slots have recently opened for the Support Service Waiver targeting those persons 16 to 22. For more information contact Julie Shelton at (765) 932-5190.

n The Rush County Schools Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the corporation’s administrative office building, 330 W. Eighth Street, Rushville. Open to all interested persons.

n Rush County Heritage will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers at the Rushville Police Department, 270 W 15th Street, Rushville. Everyone is welcome.

THURSDAY (5/8)

n Rush County Democrat Party will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Rushville Common Council Chambers, 270 West 15th Street, Rushville. Meetings are held the second Thursday of each month, except December. All meetings are open to the public.

SATURDAY (5/10)

n Sam’s Supporters Relay for Life team is hosting its third annual adult prom from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall. This is an over-21 only prom, theme is “And Then He Kissed Me.” King and queen will be crowned at 11 p.m. Photo opportunities available. Cost $10 per person or $15 per couple; tickets available at door and Hubler Auto Center. Dress up or casual. DJ Frank Denzler. Bring date or come single and mingle. All proceeds benefit Relay for Life of Rush County.
