The Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club hosted the annual Tri-Star Basketball Contest at the Boy and Girls Club of Rushville on Wednesday. Forty-four area youth competed in the dribbling, passing and shooting skills.
Places for the girls ages 8-9 were Annika Marlow first, Jama Barnes second, Lillian Vance third, Lexis Haden fourth, Aleigha Foust fifth and Morgan Beard sixth. For the boys ages 8-9, Cameron Jackman was first followed by Anderson Frazier, Kameron Morton, Colton Vaughn, Ethan Moore, Jayden Roosa, Gage Waters, Tylan Ervine, Austin Foust, Keagon Foust and Brian Simmermon.
Places for girls ages 10-11 were Morgan Adkins first and Juliana Simmermon second. For the boys ages 10-11, Cameron Wise was first followed by Trenton Phillips, Ty Ervine, Quincy Orr, Jacob Vance, Joey Sheehan, Trentin Hollin, Ben Simpson and Doug Simmermon.
For the girls ages 12-13, Hannah McGee was first with Olivia Vance second. For the boys ages 12-13, Jordan Carter was first followed by Thomas Barber, Adam Leising, Zach Hoeing, Robert Miller, Brennon Baker, Jordan Davis, Cole Carmony, Alex Wulitich, Landis Gettinger, Matthew Wilmer, Trai Ervine, Nathaniel Miller and Bradley Blevins.
