RUSHVILLE — The BRMS seventh and eighth grade Cubs Black traveled to St. Louis in Batesville for a holiday tourney.

The seventh-grade Cubs lost the first round to Madison 43-18. Landis Gettinger and Austyn Farley each had four points. Jensen Wood and Cole Carmony had three points each. Adam Leising and Crobsy Jackman rounded out the scoring with two points each.

The Cubs bounced back in the consolation game beating St. Louis by the score of 36-31. Crosby Jackman and Gettinger each had 12 points to lead the way for the Cubs. Farley scored eight points. Zach Hoeing and Jensen Wood each scored two points.  

The 8th Grade team also suffered a defeat to Madison in the opening round of the tourney 40-22. Elijah Miller and Ike Sheehan led the Cubs in scoring with seven points each. Preston Bowling scored five points. JC Newhouse had two points. Nick Sprinkle rounded out the scoring for the Cubs with one point.

The eighth-grade fell to St. Louis in the consolation game 36-35. Newhouse led the Cubs in scoring with 10 points. Gunner Yurack had seven points. Miller and Spencer Fry had six points each. Sheehan had four points. Preston Bowling and Nick Sprinkle each finished with two points.
