Tennis team fall to HHC foe Yorktown

RUSHVILLE — YORKTOWN – The Lady Lion tennis team traveled to Yorktown to take on the Lady Tigers. The host squad knocked off the Lady Lions 5-0 in varsity action. Rushville is 4-12 overall and 0-7 in the HHC.

“I think that five of our seven varsity kids are dealing with illness that’s really affecting their play. It’s very hard to compete when you are under the weather,” Coach Heuer said. “Allison Wainwright at No. 1 singles for the Lady Lions played the best match of the night for Rushville and turned in a strong performance despite feeling lousy. She showed some real grit and played a close, competitive match.”
