Lion golfers third at Brookhill

RUSHVILLE — BROOKVILLE - The Lions traveled to Brookhill Golf Course to face Franklin County and Richmond. The Red Devils won the team title with 166. Franklin County was second with 173 and the Lions finished with 205.

Richmond’s Evan Stoker was the medalist with 34.

Rushville was led by Nate Hoeing with 43.

Brayton Wood finished with 47.

Grant Houston carded 54.

Kyle Tague had a 61.

Austin Tielking finished one stroke back with 62 and Clay Tressler had 64.



Cougars top Lions

In a rescheduled match from earlier in the spring, the Lions took on Greenfield-Central at Hawk’s Trail golf course. The host Cougars knocked off the Lions 173-195 in varsity action and 193-226 in junior varsity action.

Rushville’s Nate Hoeing was the medalist with a 38.

Grant Houston was next for the Lions with 47. Kyle Hewitt carded 54. Kyle Tague had a 56. Brayton Wood was one stroke back with 57 and Brandon Slaton had 63.

Other scores for the Lions included Austin Tielking 52, Nick Truster 58, Christian Gosser 59 and Clay Tressler 61.

The Lions face Greensburg at 4:30 p.m. today.
