NEW PALESTINE — The RCHS swim teams traveled to New Palestine to take on the host Dragons and Indianapolis Scecina. This was also Senior Night for Rushville as the team honored seniors Abby Clark, Dalton Miller and Stone Worth.
Clark was a member of the 200 medley relay team (Fran Percell, Mekyna Hall, Brenna Hall) that finished fourth in 2:41.12. Clark also finished sixth in the 200 freestyle in 2:59.60 and fifth in the 50 freestyle in :35.62.
Miller and Worth joined forces with Sam Cole and Bradlee Gwinnup in the relays. In the 200 medley relay, the team was third in 2:17.21. In the 200 freestyle relay, the team finished third in 1:59.74.
Miller won the 200 freestyle in 2:19.51 and finished third in the 500 freestyle in 6:21.24.
Worth finished second in the 200 individual medley at 2:40.52 and third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.61.
In the 200 freestyle, Courtney Hall took fifth in 2:52.15.
In the 50 freestyle, Cara Moore finished sixth in :36.71. In the junior varsity race, Teagan Warner finished in 35:93 and Lindsey Flanner finished in :36.59. For the Lions, Gwinnup was fifth in :31.13.
Sam Cole took third in the 100 butterfly in 1:12.07 and fourth in the 100 backstroke in 1:19.06.
In the 100 freestyle, Moore touched the wall fifth in 1:22.71 with Warner sixth in 1:24.88. Gwinnup was third for the Lions in 1:10.99.
Brenna Hall finished the 500 freestyle in 7:27.75 for fifth and Brooke Cameron was sixth in 8:14.60.
In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Courtney Hall, Mekyna Hall, Cameron and Brenna Hall finished fourth in 2:09.54 and the team of Moore, Warner, Jessica Schlechtweg and Flannery took fifth in 2:33.50.
In the 100 backstroke, Percell finished fifth in 1:32.40 with Schlechtweg sixth in 1:57.51.
Mekyna Hall was third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.16 with Brenna Hall fifth in 1:29.17.
In the 400 freestyle, the team of Courtney Hall, Cameron, Moore and Percell finished fourth in 5:35.60.
