“The highlight of the evening for the Lady Lions was the performances of Ellie Sammons and Kayla Shelton. These two ladies finished second and third in the discus. Ellie throw a career personal record of 111-06. Assistant Coach Kendall Paris has been working really well with these two this year, and they are peaking at the right time. Ellie has the potential to be the sectional winner next week, which would be an great achievement for the sophomore thrower,” Coach Jim Helsley said.

The Lady Lions compete in the IHSAA sectional at Connersville Tuesday.
