LAWRENCEBURG – Eight different Lady Tiger players scored Saturday as
Lawrenceburg defeated Rushville 8-0 in soccer action.
The Lady Lions fall to 0-6 while the Lady Tigers improve to 6-1.
Lawrenceburg’s offense was on track in the first half as the host squad
scored five goals. The Lady Tigers closed out the win with three more
goals in the second half.
Rushville’s best chance to score was on a breakaway by Shyla Sharp, but the Lady Tiger defense quickly recovered to stop the threat.
Nici Martin had 26 saves in goal for the Lady Lions.
Coach Karen Brashaber said Lawrenceburg was one of the best teams that we will see and were a tough opponent.
The Lady Lions host Connersville at 5 p.m. today.
