---- — BROOKVILLE – The Lady Lion golf team traveled to Brook Hill Country Club to face Franklin County in a match of Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference foes. The Lady Lions posted a 175 team total to knock off the Lady Wildcats with 202.
The Lady Lions posted six personal best scores on the night.
Catie Liggett earned meet medalist honors by carding a 40.
Megyn Kirchoff was next for the Lady Lions with a PB 44.
Kylie Martindale was one stroke back with a PB 45.
Abbey Gulde carded a 46.
Whitley Disbro had a 50 and Kelsi Ash had a 53.
In the junior varsity match, the Lady Lions improved to 2-0 with a 208-220 victory.
Sarah Cook had a PB 46. Lauryn Payne finished with a PB 51. Brianna Saxon had a PB 54. Kelsey Bridges had a 55. Madison Sutter was one stroke back with a PB 56.Tayler Koors finished with a 59.
Lady Lions second in 3-team event
The Lady Lions hosted former conference foes Shelbyville and Mt. Vernon at Antler Pointe golf course Tuesday. Mt. Vernon, led by meet medalist Ellen Wuerch’s 38, took the team title with 160. The Lady Lions were second with 181 and Shelbyville finished with 201.
Liggett led the way for the Lady Lions with 40.
Gulde filled her card with all 5s for 45.
Martindale had a 47.
Disbro finished with 49.
Kirchoff had a 52 and Ash had a 55.
Other scores for the Lady Lions included Koors 54 (personal best), Bridges 57, Cook 57, Payne 57, Saxon 65 and Sutter 69.
The Lady Lions are 4-1 on the season.
With the third win of the year, Coach Jim Evans earned his 100th career victory.
