The RCHS JV softball team traveled to Franklin County Monday and came home with a 9-6 victory over the Lady Wildcats.

Woolston then scored on a single by Keely Springman, followed by Madi Whitaker, who reached on an error. Springman scored when Morgan Knecht reached on an error. Whitaker and Knect scored when Jasmine Cook reached on an error before Franklin County got out of the inning.

Owen started the inning off with a double, and scored on a double by Woolston. Woolston then scored on a ground-out by Springman.

Franklin County was held scoreless for two innings, and the Lady Lions added another run in the fourth as Woolston singled and scored on a fielder’s choice by Springman. Franklin County scored four in the bottom of the fifth, and the game was called for darkness.

Emily Herbert went the distance on the mound for the locals to get the win.
