EC wins tri-meet for the girls

---- — Rushville hosted EIAC foes Franklin County and East Central Monday in girls track action. East Central claimed the team title with 85 points followed by the Lady Lions 56 and Franklin County 19.

The Lady Lions placed first in eight events.

The 3200-meter relay team of Kayla Fogg, Monica Dougherty, Arielle Ordas and Brandi Adkins won in a season best 10:46.78.

Katy Newbold had a season best :14.38 to place fourth in the 100.

Dougherty ran a season best 6:13.8 to finish second in the 1600-meter run.

The 400-meter relay team of Mekyna Hall, Emma Beavers, Newbold and Jacquelyn Hastings finishes second in a season best :54.68.

Beavers also had a season best :28.76 to take fourth in the 200.

Ellie Sammons won both the shot put (32-10.5) and discus (106-0) events.
