GREENSBURG – Shelbyville claimed the team title at the annual Greensburg Invitational track meet Saturday. The Golden Bears tallied 129.5 points to win the title. Lawrence Central was second with 113 followed by Greenfield-Central 85, Rushville 67, Monrovia 53, Oldenburg 21.5, Greensburg 21 and Greenwood Christian 2.
Rushville’s 3200-meter relay team of Luke Sheehan, Austin Dwenger, Evan Dyer and Dalton Miller finished fifth in 9:15.45.
Zach Turner turned in a personal best :15.01 to win the 110 hurdles. Jeremy Hallgarth was second in a personal best :15.06. Turner also won the 300 hurdles in a personal best :40.80 and Hallgarth was fourth in :43.70.
Keith Yager ran a personal best :11.40 to place sixth in the 100.
The 400-meter relay team of Turner, Yager, Jeremy Ordas and Dale Clifton finished fourth in :46.50.
Ezra Griffith finished second in the 200 with a personal best :23.10.
The 1600-meter relay team of Turner, Austin Dwenger, Griffith and Josh Hodge finished third in 3:46.50.
Hallgarth finished second in the high jump at 5-6.
Griffith took sixth in the long jump at 18-4 and second in the pole vault at 11-0.
Other personal bests on the day included Clifton’s :11.63 in the 100, Brett Leisure’s 2:24 in the 800, Yager’s :24.00 in the 200 and Miller’s 11:51 in the 3200.
