Lady Arabians win tri-meet title

---- — Pendleton Heights claimed the tri-meet title on a breezy, rainy Tuesday.

The Lady Arabians tallied 66.5 points to take top honors as a team. Mt. Vernon was second with 54.5 and the Lady Lions finished with 44.

Ellie Sammons had a season best 116-0 to win the discus. Kayla Shelton was second with a season best distance of 99-10. Sammons also won the shot put with a toss of 33-7.25. Shelton was third at 28-6.5 and Taylor Stevens was fourth at 25-9.

Kayla Fogg finished second in the 3200-meter run in a season best 12:50.

The 3200-meter relay team of Fogg, Monica Dougherty, Arielle Ordas and Taylor Yager finished second in 11:16.

In the 100-meter hurdles, Fran Percell took second in :18.27 and Aubrey Stomberg was fourth in :18.3. Stomberg returned to take third in the 300 hurdles in :55.94 with Percell fourth in 1:01.

The 400-meter relay team of Mekyna Hall, Katy Newbold, Jacquelyn Hastings and Emma Beavers finished second in :56.95.

Yager took second place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:12. Brooke Drake was fourth in 1:16.

Hastings took second in the high jump at 4-10 and second in the long jump at 14-4.5.

Mekyna Hall finished third in the pole vault at 6-0.
