Golfers move to 1-1 with win over Panthers

RUSHVILLE — The Lion golf team even its early season record at 1-1 with a 186-209 victory over Knightstown on the front nine at Antler Pointe.

Nate Hoeing led the Lions with a medalist round of 43.

Grant Houston and Kyle Hewitt were next for the Lions with 47.

Brayton Wood finished with 49.

Kyle Tague had 50 and Austin Tielking had 52.

The reserves won 103-119.

Christian Gosser led the Lions with 51. Clay Tressler was a shot back with 52. Brandon Slaton and Nick Truster both finished with 53. Matthew Neuman and Curtis Wright both carded 60. Zach Roszell and Keaton Mueller both had 61.

The Lions host Morristown and Waldron today.
