RUSHVILLE — The Milroy Economic Development Corporation 7th Annual Golf Outing was held on a picture perfect Saturday at Antler Pointe Golf Course in Rushville. The June 14 event will bring in more than $8,000 to help the southern Rush County community. Money raised at the event will be used for ongoing economic development efforts in Milroy.

KB Foods donated food for the outing and a number of community volunteers also help make this a very successful and fun-filled event benefiting the community.
MEDC efforts are lighting the way in Milroy. The 2012 outing raised approximately $8,000 for the Milroy Street Light Fund, bringing the southern Rush County community close to a goal of providing a permanent endowment for the light fund. In 2011, the community was able to realize a fundraising goal and worked with Rush County Schools to have playground equipment installed at the new Milroy Elementary School.
