Lions second in home 3-team match

RUSHVILLE — The Lions played host to Morristown and Waldron on the front nine at Antler Pointe. The Yellow Jackets took top honors for the teams with 190 followed by Rushville 199 and Waldron 213.

Morristown’s Bob Prange was medalist with 44.

Grant Houston led the way for the Lions with 48.

Brayton Wood was one stroke back with 49.

Kyle Tague carded a 50.

Kyle Hewitt finished with 52.

Brandon Slaton had a 54 and Clay Tressler had a 58.

Other scores for the Lions included Nick Truster 51, Christian Gosser 60, Curtis Wright 60 and Zach Roszell 63.

At the Richmond Invitational held at the Richmond Elks, Connersville won the team title with 324. Richmond was second with 331 followed by Union County 344, Marion 350, Franklin County 365, East Central 403 and Rushville 404. Centerville, Cambridge City Lincoln and Richmond Red also competed.

Richmond’s Evan Stoker led the way with a round of 73.

Wood (50-48) and Houston (49-49) led the Lions with 98.

Hewitt was next for the Lions with (48-53) 101.

Tague finished with (48-59) 107 and Tressler had (58-55) 113.
