All-EIAC volleyball

The Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference announced its all-conference volleyball team. The members selected were: Bailey Baumer of Batesville (MVP), Kaylie Martin of Lawrenceburg, Nicole Sandman of East Central, Rylee Goldsmith of Batesville, Megan Robbins of Connersville, Sophia Sanford of Lawrenceburg, Morgan Bohman of Franklin County, Keragan Niehoff of Rushville, Katie Thomas of Batesville, Kaylie Wood of Greensburg, Riley Brunner of Lawrenceburg, Delaney Murphy of South Dearborn, Kaylyn Gindling of East Central and Halley Crum of Connersville.

Lady Lion frosh

The Lady Lion freshman basketball team (3-0) defeated Greensburg 53-6. Brandi Adkins led the Lady Lions with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Madison Owen had 10 points and eight rebounds. Kayla Aldridge added eight points and 11 rebounds. Alisha Markley had seven points and three rebounds. Casey Chabre had six points and two rebounds. Payton Brower added five points, four rebounds and seven assists. Kassie Herbert had four points and three rebounds.

Lion frosh

The Lion freshman basketball team fell to Greensburg 39-35 in double overtime. After trailing 16-2 early in the game, the Lions fought back to take a fourth-quarter lead before falling in double overtime.

JC Newhouse led the Lions with 12 points. Elijah Miller chipped in with nine points. Ike Sheehan had eight points. Luke Schombert and Andrew Rice both had four points.

BRMS basketball

The BRMS seventh-grade boys Black rallied from a 26-24 half-time deficit to defeat the Yellow Jackets 63-35.

For the Cubs, Duncan Draper (six rebounds) scored 15 points and Tyler Wilson scored 14 points. Cameron Craig finished with 11 points, seven assists, five steals and 11 rebounds. Mason Springman had six rebounds, five assists and four steals.

The Cubs are 4-2 on the season and take on Richmond Dennis Monday.

Achonwa leads No. 4 Irish women past No. 10 PSU
