East/West All-Star game

Rushville’s Clay Tressler and Zach Turner have been selected to play in the East/West All-Star game. The game will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 20 at Anderson High School. Tressler and Turner will be on the team headed by Kyle Ralph, head coach New Palestine, and both have been selected to play defense.

Here is a partial list of the schools participating in the game: Rushville, New Palestine, Greenfield-Central, Mt. Vernon, Delta, Knightstown, Lincoln, Winchester, Pendleton Heights, Richmond, Shenandoah, New Castle, Muncie Central, Muncie South, Yorktown, Centerville, Lapel, Connersville, Union, Tri, Shelbyville, Eastern Hancock, Northeastern, Franklin County, Hagerstown and Kokomo.

”I think it is a great opportunity for Clay and Zach to wear red and black one last time, get coached by one of the state’s best in Kyle Ralph from New Palestine, and last, get a sample of what college football will be like because the speed of this game will be much quicker than a typical high school game,” RCHS head coach Scott McMurray.

Roberson leads Cream past Crimson 24-14 at Indiana

BLOOMINGTON (AP) — Indiana’s Tre Roberson ran for one touchdown and threw for another score, leading the Cream past the Crimson 24-14 in the spring game Saturday.

Roberson dazzled the crowd with his propensity for big plays. He ran 65 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, hooked up with Shane Wynn on a 56-yard pass play in the second and found Wynn again for 59 yards in the third. The second long pass eventually led to a 16-yard TD pass from Roberson to Wynn to make it 17-7.
