Spikers fall on the road at Lincoln

CAMBRIDGE CITY – The varsity Lady Lions fell to the Lady Eagles of Cambridge City Lincoln in three sets 25-19, 25-12, 25-22. Rushville is now 11-8 on the season.

For the Lady Lions, Allison Wainwright had three kills, one assist and two digs. Brenna Hall added one dig and Kayla Shelton had two kills. Carissa Comstock tallied one kill and two digs. Casey Yager finished with three kills and one assist. Keely Springman had one ace, one kill, one block, 14 assists and two digs. Keragan Niehoff finished with 11 kills, two blocks and seven digs. McKenzie Woolston added one ace, one kill and six digs. Tessa Hoeing had one kill and two digs.

The junior varsity Lady Lions dropped their match in three sets 24-25, 25-24, 15-12.

For the Lady Lions, Adrianna Zepeda had two digs. Cammi Miller had one dig. Darbi Mello finished with one ace, four kills, one assist and six digs. Emma Harpring had one ace, one block and one assist. Fran Percell had three digs and Kayla Aldridge had four digs. Kelly Brown added four kills and six assists. Mekyna Hall had one ace, one kill and seven digs. Tori Colestock finished with four kills and three digs.

In earlier action, the junior varsity Lady Lions fell to Greensburg 25-16, 25-14.

For the Lady Lions, Harpring had one ace and one block. Colestock added one ace and three kills. Brown and Mello both had one kill.
