---- — With just 2:05 to play in the game, Rushville junior Bryce Dye scored off the Derrik Justice assist to break a scoreless tie as the Lions defeated visiting Shelbyville 1-0.

The Golden Bears had 25 shots on goal while the Lions had 10. Rushville senior Frank Sammons kept the goal clean.

“I felt like our defense did an excellent job,” Coach Bob Beeler said. “The out-shot us, but Frank did a great job in goal and Curtis Wright, Trent McQueen, Grant Houston and Zach Stiers as well as Zach Keim and Sam Beavers did a great job on defense.”

Dye, Treyton Meal and Justice each had two shots on goal. Jon Seals, Ethan Foster and Dale Clifton all had one shot.
