Lady Lions fifth, Lions sixth at invitational

Rushville’s cross country teams traveled to the South Dearborn Invitational with the Lady Lions placing fifth and the Lions sixth.

The Lady Lions were led by Kayla Fogg in third place and Brandi Adkins in seventh. Also contributing to the Lady Lions best team score of the year were Monica Dougherty, Megan Clifton, Macey Orme and Sarah Ford.

The Lions were led by the 17th place finish of Kenny Nigh. He was followed by Dalton Miller, Bryce Conrad, LJ Conrad, Patrick Duffy, Austin Dwenger and Josh Hodge.

Brett Leisure, Jon Ripberger and Reece Fields all competed in the reserve race.

The teams also competed in the 13-team Connersville Invitational. Both the Lady Lions and Lions were fifth in the team competition.

Fogg led the Lady Lions in ninth place. Adkins was 23rd and Dougherty was 26th. Clifton was followed by Orme and Ford.

For the Lions, Nigh was 17th with Bryce Conrad 32nd and Miller 34th. Also finishing for the Lions was LJ Conrad, Duffy, Dwenger and Hodge.

The Lions were led in the reserve race by Luke Schombert followed by Leisure, Ripberger and Fields.
