---- — Rushville entertained Batesville at the Richard Bradley Tennis Center Tuesday in EIAC tennis action. The Bulldogs shut out the Lions 5-0. Rushville is now 1-13 on the season and 0-5 in the EIAC.

“Playing without one of our varsity veterans, who is out with an injury, made for an interesting line-up for our guys to get used to,” Coach Holly Heuer said. “Jake Fowler, our No. 1 singles guy, is playing much better of late.”

Fowler fell to Dustin Nobbe 6-1, 6-4. At No. 2 singles, Paul Hershberger lost 6-3, 6-3 to Chris Hoseus. At No. 3 singles, Will Hogsett lost 6-0, 6-0 to Blake Walsman.
