Golfers win on Senior Night

The Lady Lion golf team celebrated Senior Night with a victory over visiting North Decatur at Antler Pointe.

Rushville (12-3) finished with a 181 team total. North finished with 212.

Prior to the match, the Lady Lions honored the six seniors – Catie Liggett, Abbey Gulde, Whitley Disbro, Kylie Martindale, Kelsi Ash and Kelsey Bridges – and their parents.

Liggett led the way for the Lady Lions with 38.

Gulde was next for the Lady Lions with 46.

Disbro finished with 48.

Martindale was one stroke back with 49.

Ash had 60 and Bridges finished with 57.

Other scores for the Lady Lions included Sarah Cook 49, Megyn Kirchoff 52, Tayler Koors 57, Lauryn Payne 57, Brianna Saxon 62 and Madison Sutter 66.

Lady Lions fall to Lady Dragons

Rushville ended the regular season with a 174-201 loss to New Palestine at The Links golf course.

New Palestine’s Abby Pool led the way with a 38.

Rushville was led by Catie Liggett with 45.

Whitley Disbro was next with 51.

Megyn Kirchoff was third with 52.

Abbey Gulde was another shot back with 53 and Kylie Martindale finished with 55.

The junior varsity Lady Lions fell 221-235.

Scores for the Lady Lions included Kelsi Ash 56, Kelsey Bridges 61, Lauryn Payne 63, Brianna Saxon 66 and Madison Sutter 71.

The Lady Lions enter sectional action at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Greensburg.
