The Lion soccer team fell to conference foe East Central 4-0.
The Trojans scored two goals in each half.
“We were in pretty good shape, going in 2-0 at halftime,” Coach Bob Beeler said. “We had played them well defensively; we just couldn’t get any shots ourselves.”
With less than five minutes gone in the second half, East Central scored again to make it 3-0.
“At that point we were still in it,” according to Beeler, “but we still couldn’t muster any shots. They had a solid defense.”
The Trojan’s final goal came at the 9:05 mark.
The Lions managed 10 shots on goal, three each by Derrik Justice and Ricky Thompson, two by Treyton Meal, and one each by Ethan Foster and Sam Beavers. Goalies Frank Sammons and Jon Seals recorded eight saves.
