The BRMS seventh-grade boys' Red basketball team hosted the Shelbyville Golden and lost by a final score of 38-11. Lane Hornberger was the leading scoring for the Cubs with seven points while Bryson Medley and Jordan Davis each contributed with two points.

Saturday, the Cubs traveled to Connersville to face Laurel in the opening round of the tournament. The Yellow Jackets defeated the Cubs 39-17. Cole Carmony led the Cubs with five points. Adam Leising and Jordan Davis both had three points. Lane Hornberger and Bryson Medley both had two points.

In the consolation game, the Cubs fell to Connersville 39-14. For the Cubs, Jared Smith and Davis had four points each. Jack Lattner, Leising and Kameron Marshall all had two points.
