AURORA — Rushville’s swim teams traveled to South Dearborn to compete in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference meet for the first time. Both squads finished seventh overall.
In the 200 medley relay, the team of Frances Percell, Abby Clark, Mekyna Hall and Brenna Hall finished seventh in 2:39.2. The Lion team of Sam Cole, Stone Worth, Dalton Miller and Bradlee Gwinnup was sixth in 2:13.04.
Courtney Hall had a personal best 2:58.5 for 16th in the 200 freestyle. Clark finished 17th in 2:59.85 and Cara Moore was 19th in 3:05.82. For the Lions, Miller finished 11th in 2:22.98.
Brooke Cameron had a personal best :34.93 for 16th in the 50 freestyle. Teagan Warner had a personal best :36.32 for 19th and Jessica Schlechtweg finished in 20th in :37.70. For the Lions, Worth was 12th in :28.24 and Gwinnup was 16th in a personal best :30.23.
In the 100 freestyle, Cameron was 16th in a personal best 1:24.78 with Percell 17th in 1:25.07 and Lindsey Flannery 20th in 1:38.31. For the Lions, Cole was 11th in 1:03.60 and Gwinnup was 14th in a personal best 1:10.46.
Brenna Hall finished 15th in the 500 freestyle with a time of 7:48.87. Clark was 16th in 7:50.44 and Moore was 19th in 8:49.67. Miller finished 10th for the boys in 6:42.11.
In the 200 freestyle relay, the Lady Lion team of Mekyna Hall, Clark, Courtney Hall and Brenna Hall finished seventh in 2:15.30. The Lion team of Worth, Cole, Gwinnup and Miller was sixth in 1:56.04.
In the 100 backstroke, Percell touched the way 16th in a personal best 1:34.87. Schlechtweg was 20th in 1:53.43. For the Lions, Cole finished 11th in 1:21.82.
Brenna Hall finished eighth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:26.10 with Mekyna Hall ninth in 1:27. Worth was seventh for the Lions in 1:20.94.
The Lady Lions closed the meet with a seventh place finish in the 400 freestyle as the team of Courtney Hall, Percell, Cameron and Moore finished in 5:38.19.
