---- — NEW CASTLE – The Lady Lions and Lions traveled to New Castle to face the Trojans in a swim meet Thursday. New Castle won the title for the boys 115-31 and for the girls 139-29.
The 200 medley relay team of Frances Percell, Abby Clark, Brenna Hal and Cara Moore finished third in 2:51.25. The Lion team of Sam Cole, Stone Worth, Dalton Miller and Bradlee Gwinnup was also third in 2:15.10.
Brenna Hall touched the wall fourth (2:51.43) in the 200 freestyle with Clark fifth (3:03.57). Miller was third for the boys in 2:20.89.
Mekyna Hall placed third in the 50 freestyle with a time of :33.47. Brooke Cameron was fourth in a personal best :36.98 and Teagan Warner was fifth in :37.55. For the Lions, Worth was third in :26.89 and Gwinnup was fourth in :31.71.
In the 100 freestyle, Percell had a personal best 1:22.75 for third place. Warner was fifth in 1:26.36 and Lindsey Flannery was sixth in a personal best 1:35.99. For the boys, Cole took second in 1:03.50 and Gwinnup took third in 1:10.53.
In the longest event of the night (500 freestyle), Brenna Hall was third in 7:43.10 followed by Clark fourth in 8:06.33 and Moore sixth in 8:33. Miller had a personal best 6:25.82 for the Lions.
In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Mekyna Hall, Moore, Clark and Brenna Hall was third in 2:20.53 and the team of Cameron, Percell, Warner and Flannery was fifth in 2:35.41. For the Lions, the team of Worth, Gwinnup, Cole and Miller took second in 1:57.12.
Percell finished the 100 backstroke in third with a personal best time of 1:37.88. Cole was third for the boys in 1:19.77.
Mekyna Hall took fourth in the 100 breaststroke in 1:25.65. Worth was second for the Lions with a personal best 1:19.35.
The Lady Lion 400 freestyle relay team of Moore, Cameron, Percell and Flannery finished third in 6:10.58.
